McLaren's New GT3 Race Car - The MP4-12C

In the league of Supercars the McLaren MP4-12C is quite impressive. The exotic car is powered by a 3.8-liter V-8 engine with twin turbos and variable valve timing. Horsepower is huge at 600 hp and over 440 lb-ft of torque. The engine will rev all the way up to 8500 rpm. Power is transmitted via a double-clutch transmission with seven speeds which ca be changed via cool paddle shifters by the driver. He can also choose between different driving modes, the adaptive suspension, ESP, traction control, or even the Formula 1 race inspired Steer Brake assist can be changed by the driver. This McLaren MP4-12C can break the 200 MPH barrier also!

The car rides on 20-inch ultra-light forged wheels. There are huge air intakes all around and an adaptive spoiler that also functions as an Air Brake. Check out the PIMP butterfly doors too! The car is built around a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque passenger safety cell with reinforced aluminum elements. McLaren has made quite a stir with the latest and greatest car the MP4-12C. But what is really cool is the GT3 race car McLaren will be running for the 2012 season.

2012 Range Rover Evoque

The 2012 Range Rover Evoque

The official Germany premiere of the new Range Rover Evoque was in Berlin as part of an exclusive event called "Hello-Hello Evoque Berlin-Party". One might ask if the new Range Rover Evoque is more technology than off-roading. Ultimately, the Range Rover Evoque is a consistent attempt to keep true to the British tradition. But this new SUV took a different route in its development. You might be Shocked to know that Victoria Beckham was contracted to help shape the look of the Range Rover Evoque. There is no arguing that this is the sexiest suv ever!

The Range Rover Evoque is the first Land Rover vehicle which no longer wants to be an SUV. Instead the Range Rover Evoque is aimed squarely at those who are interested in form over function. That’s not to say the Evoque is a slouch off-road because it is not. But the Range Rover Evoque is more suited for those upscale luxury SUV buyers.

The Range Rover Evoque is compact, sporty, modern, and thus fits comfortably in with the rest of the segment. The interior will continue to reward you with a fine feeling of luxury. Wood surfaces are old and boring. Rather the Range Rover Evoque has tons of steel and titanium trim for that modern feel. Technology is ever present with a multifunction touch screen taking center stage. The Evoque has tons of features and options like: an LED interior lighting system, parking assistant, Blind Spot System, a camera system with five video cameras, hard disk navigation, television, and even a panoramic glass roof is available on request.

Land Rover offers a 240 horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine standard in the Evoque. This is a far cry from their big supercharged, gas guzzling V-8 engines. But the Evoque does get great gas mileage at 18 MPG in the City and 28 MPG on the Highway.

The Range Rover Evoque will be sold in more than 160 countries and has already generated a ton of excitement all over the world. Base price for a 2012 Range Rover Evoque is $43,000

Lamborghini Aventador by Oakley Design

Lamborghini Aventador by Oakley Designs

The modified Lamborghini Aventador from Oakley Design sports rear wheel drive, more power, and less weight. This car is termed the LP760-2 for good reason. This model is based on the new Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador with 4-wheel drive and 700 HP. But the Oakley Design Aventador has only rear wheel drive (to save weight) and 760 HP.

Oakley Design has had nothing but success recently with their latest and greatest the Ferrari 458. But now they may have outdone themselves with the LP760-2. Bummer is they are only making 5 editions of this car for the super wealthy.

The most crazy modification on this Lamborghini is the removal of the AWD system. Oakley Design slapped on a set of their own lightweight rims. There are also a ton of carbon fiber body parts which help to reduce weight. The car will be another 30 pounds lighter with a new titanium intake and exhaust. The exterior looks even more aggressive with the new body parts. Not only do these body kit pieces look great, the also provide more downforce. Combined these tuner parts with a remap of the ECU, and the Aventador gets another 60 horsepower bringing the total power output to 760 HP.

Unfortunately the car is sold out! Not like you had the cash anyhow. The price is not even available to the public! See some more info and great pictures of the Oakley Design Lamborghini Aventador at Cool Modified Cars.

Scuderia strips on the hood are made from carbon fiber and are highlighted in yellow. Finally, the tuner has opted for the 20-inch black patent carbon fiber rims with yellow highlights.

On the interior, there is black leather and Alcantara carbon were privileged. And since carbon fiber is prevalent, the car really makes a visually statement with the black exterior color. These parts all combine to make the Anderson Germany Ferrari F430 something very special.
